L-ergothioneine(RejuEGT®) is a naturally rare amino acid that is usually biosynthesized by bacteria and fungi and was first isolated from the fungus Claviceps purpure in 1909. Later, it was found that it is also found in human tissues and organs. It is a natural cell protector and antioxidant in the human body, but we cannot synthesize it ourselves.
